Maurten Gel Mix 480 is a carbohydrate fuel for endurance sport based on Hydrogel Technology. It contains 120 grams of carbohydrates when combined with 200 ml of water. A different hydrogel fueling format with a texture thicker than Drink Mix and looser than the Gel — Gel Mix 480 can be adjusted to personal taste by combining with Additions.

Gel Mix 480 gives athletes more access to training and racing with Hydrogel Technology. A flask-driven fuelling system for athletes exercising with intent — the duration and distance of a long session or race, the frequency of a sustained training block. Because consistency matters, Gel Mix 480 offers an additional hydrogel fuelling format to ensure that more sessions and races are fuelled fully. The texture is thicker than Drink Mix and looser than the Gel. Each sachet contains 120 grams of carbohydrates when dissolved in 200 ml of water.
Gel Mix 480 is pH-sensitive. It behaves like Drink Mix, becoming a true gel in the acidity of the stomach. This change encapsulates the carbohydrates, carrying them through the stomach to be absorbed, making fueling for sports easier.

Gel Mix 480 contains no added flavour, preservatives, or colour. For texture variation, and to overcome the limitation of flavour fatigue, it can be combined with Maurten Additions — Cola, Menthol, Orange, or Apple. Gel Mix 480 is designed to be mixed and consumed with Gel Mix Flask 350 ml and can be stored in a fridge for up to 72 hours.

Gel Mix 480 is designed to be used with Gel Mix Flask 350 ml. The soft flask is equipped with a SpeedFill™ cap for fast refills, a 200 ml fill line for water, and a bite valve for fueling easily over challenging terrain. Made to fit in a running vest, waist belt, or back pocket. Other soft flasks or bottles can be used with Gel Mix 480 but are not optimal — see FAQ for more information.
How to prepare with Gel Mix Flask 350 ml

Fill flask to the line with 200 ml of water.
- If wanting to personalise taste, add preferred Addition first and shake.
- Pour in Gel Mix 480 from sachet.
- Shake flask vigorously again until dissolved.
- Let the mix rest for 5 minutes before consuming.
